Contribute structured observations and measurements to Astro Corner projects with clear protocols, validation and review.
Citizen Science uses the normal Astro Corner Project model plus a structured contribution protocol. A project can define what contributors should measure or report, then review accepted contributions for a consistent public dataset.
Choose a project and read the protocol
Open the Citizen Science directory and select a participating project. Read its purpose and protocol before submitting data; a structured form cannot compensate for observations made under the wrong method.
Structured contribution fields
Project managers can define controlled fields for text, numbers, booleans, dates/times, selectable values, objects, magnitudes, coordinates, durations, wavelengths, numeric values/units, public observing sites and suitable media evidence.
Required fields, options and numeric bounds are validated by Astro Corner rather than trusting arbitrary form content.
Supporting media and ownership
If a project accepts media evidence, you can only attach eligible media records that belong to your account. Follow the project protocol about what an image or other evidence needs to show.
Review and accepted datasets
Project managers can accept or reject contributions after review. Where a project enables a public data export, only accepted contributions are included and the export is designed to omit the contributor account identity.
Free-text/data values can still contain information you typed yourself, so do not put personal contact details or private location information into a contribution unless the project genuinely requires and explains it.
