Home is the social centre of Astro Corner. It is designed for chronological and explicitly filtered conversation rather than hidden engagement ranking.
Choose what the feed shows
Use the feed audience and content filters to move between people you follow, friends, everyone, communities and different kinds of posts. The selected filter changes what is eligible to appear; it is not a popularity score.
Official Astro Corner messages can also appear in the feed with a separate platform identity so they are easy to distinguish from member posts.
Create a post
The composer supports several astronomy-aware post types such as general conversation, observations, imaging, questions, equipment, events, news, journals, milestones and polls.
Write the post, choose who can see it and attach images or structured references when they help explain what you are sharing.
Use @mentions to bring another member into a relevant conversation.
Use hashtags as descriptive labels; Astro Corner does not turn them into popularity rankings.
Object/equipment references make a post easier to connect to the rest of the astronomy data.
Choose whether resharing is allowed when that option is available.
Comments, replies, Likes and Helpful
Open a post to join the discussion. Comments support shallow replies so a useful side-conversation can stay attached to the comment it answers without becoming an endlessly nested thread.
Use Like when you simply appreciate a post or comment. Use Helpful when it genuinely helped or informed you. Both are lightweight social signals; neither changes feed order, search ranking or recommendations.
Images, editing and sharing
Posts and comments can include uploaded media. When you edit supported social content, Astro Corner keeps the appropriate revision history so meaningful changes are not silently invisible.
Use Share when you want to reshare a member post that allows it. Your share remains connected to the original content and its author.
Drafts and autosave
If you are not ready to publish, use Drafts. The composer can retain work-in-progress state so longer astronomy posts are less likely to be lost when you move around the site.
Open Drafts from your account menu to continue or remove saved drafts.
For a lasting observing record, consider creating an Observation or Journal entry and then sharing it as a post instead of putting the only copy in the social feed.
Custom feeds and returning to new activity
Home remains chronological, but you can create your own named feeds using explicit audience/content rules such as followed people, Communities, Questions, imaging posts or a keyword/hashtag. Custom feeds never rank posts by Likes or engagement.
Astro Corner remembers the last position you reached in each feed and can show how many updates are new since your previous visit. Load older appends earlier chronological items without throwing away your current scroll position.
Follow discussions and return to deeper conversations
Open the individual Post page when a conversation deserves more attention than the fast timeline. You can follow or unfollow the discussion, and participating by commenting normally follows it automatically.
Long discussions remember your read position. Use First new, Accepted answer and Latest shortcuts, stable comment links, Quote reply, collapse/expand and Mark unread/Unread from here when you need to return to a technical conversation later.

Question posts can be Unanswered or Solved. The question author can accept one reply as the answer that solved their problem while other replies can still remain Helpful or continue the discussion.
