Trading Post helps members find astronomy equipment and people looking for it. Astro Corner provides listings, conversations and feedback context but does not take payment or become the buyer/seller.
Browse and filter listings
Use the Trading Post list/grid views and filters to narrow the marketplace by listing type, category, location and other available fields. Sale listings and Wanted listings deliberately ask for different information so irrelevant fields do not clutter the form.
Open a listing for its full details, seller/poster information, images, reputation context and listing-specific conversation controls.
Create a sale listing
Choose For Sale when you own an item you want to advertise. Work through the stepped form and provide an accurate title, category, condition, location, price and useful item details, plus clear images where possible.
Do not put private contact details, bank information or your home address in the public listing. Exchange sensitive logistics privately only when necessary.
Create a Wanted listing
Choose Wanted when you are looking for an item rather than selling one. The form removes sale-only fields and focuses on what you need, the relevant category/location and useful requirements.
Be specific enough that a member can tell whether what they have is a real match.
Listing conversations and completion
Trading Post conversations are separate from normal DMs and stay tied to the listing context. Use them to discuss condition, compatibility, collection/shipping and transaction arrangements.
Your Listings lets you edit active listings and manage their status. Listings expire according to the current Trading Post lifecycle and can be renewed where the interface allows it.
Feedback and safe trading
Feedback is tied to completed Trading Post activity so members can build transaction history. A verified vendor badge identifies a business that has been verified by Astro Corner; it is not a guarantee about every future transaction.
Read the Trade Safely page before paying. Verify the person/item, be cautious with irreversible payment methods, understand shipping/collection risk and remember that Astro Corner does not hold your money or goods.
If something feels wrong, slow the transaction down. A good deal is not worth bypassing basic identity, item and payment checks.
Commercial Vendors and listing allowances
Commercial Vendors must complete Astro Corner Vendor verification before using verified-Vendor features. Verified Vendors receive up to 10 active commercial For Sale positions free; Wanted, sold, withdrawn and expired listings do not consume those active selling positions.
Where Astro Corner has enabled paid Vendor plans, a verified Vendor can purchase a larger active-listing allowance from Vendor plans & billing. Available plan names, prices, payment methods and capacities are shown in the live interface rather than assumed by this guide.
If a paid Vendor plan ends and the account has more active commercial sale listings than its current allowance, the newest excess listings can be withdrawn until the account is back within its allowance. Withdrawn listings are not deleted.
Vendor billing and manual payments
Vendor plans & billing shows current catalogue usage, payments awaiting action, refund status and active advertising. Payment methods only appear when Astro Corner has enabled/configured them.
Bank Transfer uses a unique Astro Corner payment reference and remains pending until staff confirm receipt. Other payment providers may appear as they are configured by the platform.
Trading Post advertising
Verified Vendors can reserve available Trading Post advertising positions where the advertising feature is enabled. The availability view shows the numbered positions and their current availability before booking.
Vendor adverts can use the durations and payment schedules currently offered by Astro Corner. Advert creatives use a 3:1 button format: 900 × 300 pixels is recommended, with a minimum of 600 × 200 pixels. A paid advert remains reserved/pending until Astro Corner approves its image and destination link, and paid placement does not alter listing order or recommendations.
