Find and create astronomy events, respond to attendance, use reminders and galleries, and combine events with your personal and astronomical calendar layers.
Events are shared activities; Calendar is the time-based view that brings events together with your own notes/plans and astronomy layers.
Browse events
The Events area lists astronomy events you can access. Open an event for time/location details, attendance options, discussion, reminders and event media where the organiser has provided them.
Create an event
Create an event when you are organising an activity other members should be able to discover or attend. Add a clear title/description, start/end information, attendance location details and recurrence when the activity repeats.
Be careful with private/home addresses. Share only the location detail needed by the intended audience.
Attendance and reminders
Use the Attend controls to record your response. Capacity-limited events can make use of waiting-list behaviour where available.
Set a personal reminder when you do not want an event to disappear into a busy calendar.
Event discussion and galleries
Use the event discussion for practical conversation that belongs with the event rather than scattering it across unrelated feed posts. Event images and galleries keep photos/results connected to the activity afterward.
Calendar layers and personal entries
Calendar combines time-based information such as personal entries, events and available astronomy-event layers. Month/week/day interactions help you move between overview and detail without requiring every item to be a public event.
Use personal calendar entries for your own plans, deadlines or notes when creating a public event would be inappropriate.
